1. Can you eat quinoa every day?

Quinoa is a seed of an edible plant. A study by Harvard Public School of Health stated that eating a bowl of quinoa daily may reduce the chances of early death risk from cancer, heart disease, respiratory ailments, diabetes, and other chronic diseases by 17%! Quinoa contains healthy vitamins, minerals, omega-3, omega-9 fatty acids and easily digested, making it an excellent choice for young children and adults. Therefore, of course you can eat quinoa every day!


2. Is Quinoa good for weight loss?

Quinoa is high in fiber, minerals, antioxidants, protein and has a low glycemic index (low GI). These properties have all been linked to weight loss and improved health. No doubt quinoa is one of the healthiest and most nutritious foods on the planet.


3. Is Quinoa better for you than rice?

Quinoa is rich in both fiber and protein, contains a much higher amount of other nutrients, and has a similar fluffy texture to the rice. A cup of quinoa contains twice more protein and about 5 g more fiber than white rice. Quinoa contains fewer calories and carbohydrates than white rice. Quinoa is also low in sodium and high in calcium, potassium, and iron, making it a healthy and nutritious part of any diet.


4. What is the best time to eat quinoa?

Quinoa is easy to make, and can be eaten for breakfast, lunch or dinner! Quinoa can be found everywhere now, and takes about half the time to cook that does rice. Its grains are slightly nutty in taste and become fluffy with a small tail when cooked.


5. How much quinoa should I eat a day?

As for how much quinoa per day/ meal, for adults, we recommend 0.5 cup to 1 cup per meal cooked. For children ages 2 to 13, we recommend 85g to 170g of gains daily but intake depends on child’s age, gender and daily energy consumption (activity level).


6. How is quinoa eaten?

Consume quinoa either plain (replacement to pasta or rice) or as an ingredient in a grain salad.


7. How to cook quinoa?

Rinse quinoa in a fine mesh sieve until water runs clear. Transfer quinoa to a medium pot with water or broth. Bring to a boil, then lower heat and simmer, uncovered, until quinoa is tender, about 15 to 20 minutes.
